The 220 page hardcover LP Artwork Book.
The collection of LP-sized Bob Dylan album artwork is set up in chronological order, as if you are holding the entire collection of LPs on your lap.
Beginning with the very first album, Bob Dylan, through 2009's Christmas In The Heart, and including the complete artwork and LP formatted booklet from BIOGRAPH, the presentation begins with the front cover of the album backed with the back cover as you turn the page-- or where there was a gatefold or other insert in between, it appears here in it's proper place.
All of the artwork has been painstakingly restored-- using state of the art technology and printed the way they likely would have been printed had today's technology existed at the time they were originally released.
The volume of iconic LP artwork, itself, makes the BOB DYLAN Archive LP Artwork Book indispensible, and will make you wonder, "how could this have never existed before?"

The Catalography.
A larger than LP sized, soft cover book.
The cover is a stunning new reproduction of the original portrait used for the silhouette on The Storage Book (directly from the archives of photographer Jerry Schatzberg).
Inside is a unique 54 page, full color discography and journey through Bob Dylan’s entire album catalog.
It includes excerpts from more than 90 historic album reviews, and 27 reproductions of classic advertisements.

The Storage Book has a beautiful silhouette “black on black” portrait of Bob Dylan (the contrast is accomplished with a semi-gloss finish applied to a matte black background) from a classic photo by (Blonde on Blonde photographer) Jerry Schatzberg.
The Storage Book comes with 6 artwork adorned storage pages, each of which is designed to hold up to 8 different CD albums in specifically designated spaces, including the CD booklet and/or the digipak boxes in which your CDs originally came.
A unique aspect of the Box Of Vision CD storage system is that you do not need to store the CD booklets in a pocket next to the CD, but in a separate pocket in front of the CD itself-- which allows you to store more albums on one page, and more easily and elegantly organize and appreciate the chronology of the album catalog.
With 48 pockets to store CD albums, it is designed to store the 43 “official” chronological album releases (including Live and Greatest Hits albums), with additional room to store later retrospective/hits compilations.
The box is amazing and truly an item of beauty but why are the Bootleg Series not included as well as Biograph ? The first one Vols 1-3 are arguably the best album that Dylan has released while Biograph changed the way box sets were marketed . If nothing else , it would be nice if the purchaser would be notified of the updated pages. Just my two cents worth.
The Bob Dylan Archive has just arrived. I was delighted to see it was very well packed. I have to say it weighs a ton, even without CDs. It looks a very high quality product. Just one question when is the Bootleg Series Archive being released?
really was worth the wait! I was here showing a friend the posts about the delay above, the library buzzer went and she said "Wouldn't it be funny if that was UPS?" AND IT WAS!! I offered the courier champagne!!! I can't wait to get it home. We took the Dylan CDs we have in the library and tried it out. It's gorgeous. The CDs slip in to half pockets and the liner notes or digipacks slide in above them, there are velcro tags and CD coasters to secure and prevent scuffing, when you first open the side ofthe huge and heavy cloth box, you see a set of LP spines, that cunningly become the CD storage, the hardback bok and the catalography. And man, that hardback book is worth the price alone: all the album sleeves, front back and inserts, full size, beautifully printed, even all the Biograph notes &c. The catalography reprints posters, adverts flyers and contemporaneous reviews, God knows where I'm going to put it, the box itself is soft tweedy cloth, the Fender picture.. oh wow.. oh wow... I love it!
