The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and Box of Vision will create three authorized John Lennon Time Capsules, in honor of the 70th anniversary of Lennon’s birth, October 9, 2010, aimed at preserving Mr. Lennon’s body of recordings and legacy for a ceremonial presentation to future generations of fans on October 9, 2040.
With the cooperation of Yoko Ono, the three John Lennon Time Capsules will be stored at the Rock Hall and two additional world locations that have significance to John Lennon’s legacy.
Along with John Lennon’s post-Beatles recordings and other related items, the capsules will contain visual content created by fans of John Lennon worldwide.
